The dome shape of our Kaya cone incense burners is inspired by traditional African huts or Kayas, meaning “restful place”. These cone incense holders are wheel-thrown with a dome that fits neatly into a gallery in the tray base. The outer gallery in the base contains breathing gaps so oxygen can be drawn in while the cone smoulders.

Composition: Buff, Grog Stoneware. Dome is glazed on the outside with a white crackle glaze. Inside of the dome and the tray base is glazed in matt white glaze.
